interesting discussion between eric ward of the center for new community and vernon briggs of cornell. while ward’s agenda seems to be a good one, it struck me as disingenuous for him to dismiss briggs’s argument — that a large % of the black laboring population has been forced to compete for work with undocumented labor, material fact — as simply “nativist” or reacionary.
